DIRECTIONS: For most intense color, apply generous amount of Hair Color & Conditioner to Dry Hair (can also be applied to Wet Hair). Fully saturate hair from roots to ends so product is evenly dispersed, and work through with fingers. Leave on for 3-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. For max. intensity, multiple applications may be needed to achieve desired tone. The longer the product sits on the hair, the more color it will deposit. The lighter and more "white blonde" the hair is, the more true to tone the results from Hair Color & Conditioner will be.

To start off, the product does state that it is best for light colored hair. My daughter has brown hair and my son has dirty blonde hair. I tried the product on both of them. I could see the color well when applying it to their hair. It had a nice consistency. You could tell it was also a conditioner. It smelled great. It doesn't come with gloves, and it isn't a permanent dye, but you should still wear gloves when applying it. I didn't and my hands got stained. We couldn't see the color at all in my daughter's hair after rinsing. We could kind of see it in my son's hair. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with dark hair. You won't be able to see much of a difference.

Doesn't work at all on dark hair and very little on light hair.

My 3 year old absolutely loved having "mermaid hair". We left the conditioner on for about 20 minutes because she has darker blonde hair and wanted to get maximum effect. Pink held onto her hair the best, which surprised me since pinks and reds are typically the fastest to leave hair. Blue was the quickest color to fade on her hair, it lastest only a couple of washes and swims. The pink lasted several weeks through shampooing & swim lessons.
My kids did not enjoy the smell of the product, but I thought it was kind of nice. The conditioning effect was extremely nice! My daughter's hair was soft & a breeze to brush after.

My girls loved the colors! Pink and purple are their favorites!! They do have darker hair so it didn’t show up as well as blonde hair probably does but I know it’s temporary color! It did make my girls hair so soft and it smells so good!

I've been trying out Piggy Paints non toxic hair color products. One of the colors in this set that we have been using is the Pink. We applied on dry hair, left for 20 minutes and then rinsed the color conditioner in the shower. Loved how easy it was to apply and that it washes out after several washes. Perfect for temporary fun hair! Colors definitely show up on blonde better but it is a buildable product so you can do a second application for more rich color. We will be using purple next! Love that we can just switch the colors and everything washes out after a few washes
