Video Shoot Behind the Scenes

Video Shoot Behind the Scenes

At The Pig we know how to have fun, but the day we shot the SOPHi Application video with Adair Creative definitely tops the fun chart! See our behind the scenes images at what it takes to shoot a 1 minute video. Also, we are excited to announce that we will soon be launching a dedicated website for SOPHi! The response to this new line has been amazing! We really appreciate everyone who has trusted us and tried it out. Thank you for allowing us to bring you a safer alternative to nail polish that is natural and SOPHisticated without the harsh, smelly chemicals! If you haven’t tried SOPHi yet, you can get it here. Follow us on Instagram @SOPHi_Nail_Polish for more!

Melanie and I the morning of the shoot getting manicures. I was the designated nail painter for the video but she got hers done too just in case! I like to think of it as I was the starter and she was second string! Those who know how good I am at sports understand I’ve never been the starter before. 🙂

When we arrived to Adair’s studio they had all of the lighting setup. Dominique, our amazing model, met us there. Here we are posing so they can get the best camera angle.

Bottom left picture shows Derrick setting up the product shot. The angle of this shot was great because it showed Dominique and I painting nails in the background. Very cool. If you want to know a secret about the final cut of the video, Melanie actually photo/ video bombed it. Watch closely, about 8 seconds into the video, (posted at the bottom of this page) and you can see her walk across the screen behind the product shot and in front of us painting nails. That part makes me laugh every time!

Bottom left shows another image of that product shot from the camera’s angle. You can see us in the background. David and Derrick made sure the clip looked good and then we moved on to the next scene. This is the part where Mel jumped in with the clapperboard and set the next scene. In real life they don’t actually say “scene 2 take 1”, disappointing I know.  Check her out below and see how she did.
